Join the Climate Champions Team and lead the Action Agenda, the operational backbone of climate delivery under the UN Climate Change process.

The Climate High-Level Champions hold a unique mandate under the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC): to mobilize businesses, investors, cities, regions and civil society and act as a bridge between non-State actors and national governments to reach the goals of the Paris Agreement.

Each Champion is appointed by the incoming COP President and serves a two-year term. In 2020, the serving Champions established the Climate Champions Team (CCT) to help deliver on this mandate.

This work is anchored in the Action Agenda, the central framework driving delivery of climate solutions worldwide. Through this, the CCT coordinates Activation Groups, partnerships, and implementation efforts across cities, businesses, investors, and civil society, translating climate commitments into measurable results at COP31 in Türkiye, and beyond.

The Champions seek talented professionals to join the team and help accelerate climate action, scale solutions, and support COP processes globally.

Seek progress not perfection: all of us can be criticized and many of those best able to advance this issue are currently the biggest causes of it. We can’t allow cynical greenwashing, but all who are serious about tackling climate change positively will be welcomed.

Be humble and generous: we keep our egos in check and work together for the good of the whole.
